Loader adapt new style loader to older L3600?

Just brought home my new (used) L3600 GST 4wd. and now need to buy a FEL. Replacing a L2850 with Kubota BF500 FEL. Both L2850 and FEL were a little small for my needs. Got a couple prices for a new FEL to fit the L3600 but they are more than what I paid for the tractor. Found an Ansung 2540C for a very reasonable price with good specs but only fits the new L3800. I know the mounts are different but is it unreasonable to think it can be modified to fit the older L3600? I have local welding and machining support. We use the tractor with forks in place of the bucket to load heavy logs up onto a Woodmizer.

You might also check with the loader manufacturer. Aftermarket loaders are often generic designs that use mounting brackets customized for the specific model of tractor. It might be they could supply you with the correct brackets for an L3600.

Sailorman - check out this one . Not mine, no connection. If they have the whole mounting bolt kit, valve, etc. it might be a good way to go. People seem to like Great Bend products.

As you are discovering, it's rare to find the exact-fit loader for an older machine. Adapting a loader built to fit a later model tractor can get involved. It's possible but one already designed for your model is best.

rbargeron - thanks for the link. I had never heard of GB loaders before. I have asked for details bust suspect some items are missing. Got a local estimate of $6K for a Woods.
Thinking now to get the next size larger and adapt to fit. I cannot come up with a good reason this would not work.
