accessories for B3030

I want to thank everyone on TBN for all the great advice on tractors lately. I am new to this forum and tractors in general, and the recommendations have been invaluable.

I just ordered a new B3030 with FEL and 72" mmm and ballast box from a local dealer for $20500. From what I have read, this is a reasonably good deal. I am getting the 0% 42 mo. financing as well. I intend to use it to mow and maintain 15-20 acres of mixed field and woods on our 125 acre farm.

I want to pick up a 5 ft rotary cutter, box blade and landscape rake eventually, and want a quick hitch setup. This dealer has both Kubota and JD products and offered to put an Imatch hitch on it to use with the attachments. The cuter, and box blade will only see limited use, but I will use the rake alot in clearing some woodlots for eventual grooming with the MMM. Are most brands of 3pt attachments compatible with the Imatch or comparable hitch???? I want to make sure before purchasing anything that I won't run into problems with other brands of cutters, blades and rakes fitting the Imatch.

I was going to buy a frontier or woods cutter, but he wants 1300-1600 for them. I checked around and for the same money I can buy a King Kutter 5ft rotary cutter, box blade and rake. I know they aren't in the same league as the frontier or woods products, but like I said, other than some initially mild to moderate use, I expect the cutter in particular to see limited use, a few acres once or twice per year.

Go for the Kutter attachments. Lot's of TBN'ers have used them with good results. Try to get a roatary cutter with a slip clutch and rake with gauge wheels. These options will make a big difference in how they work.

My feeling is if it has a gear box go with a big name like Landpride or Woods. Ground engagement you can get away with a budget brand. I did recently see a thread on a budget bran rake bend up pretty good on 1st use. You tend to get what you pay for in this world

King kutter has a good name around here. I myself bent one of their bucket forks in no time at all, but the forks are for lifting pallets not prying stumps out of the ground. Shame on me for that one, i did however get the stump out and finish the planting. This kind of thing happens in the green industry!
