My Dad rented this place out in the 70s to some unfortunate people. They defaulted on their rent and we heard from neighbours that they tried to sell my Dad's tractor. Desperate people, can do stupid things.

My MIL rented out her parents house with a huge double car garage full of their stuff after they passed. Her Dad (my wifes grandfather) was a hands on guy and had lots of tools but it was hours away from where I lived . I was way too busy with my own life at the time, but years later I was able to go through what was left and found a lot of things worth keeping. I will never know what got pilfered but we do know some stuff was. I never understood renting out a place with your own belongings on it and hoping the renters would not take advance of the situation.

I researched enough to find they did buy the place, I'm not concerned with buying stolen merchandise. Part of the long story is it was part of a working farm. He bought houses, buildings with contents, very little land so he won't need all the equipment.
