About to buy a Kubota ZD... Good or bad idea?

About to purchase a Kubota ZD326. I will mow around 7 acres a week.

Do you all think this is a good decision? Is there another brand mower you would recommend?

I've had one for 3 years now and love it. Admitted, it sat last year, but the use I've gotten has been great. The shaft driven mower deck, hydro-trans, and hydraulic foot operated deck lift are all features that make mowing chores a lot easier. I also like the crank operated front end lift for accessing under the deck. I opted for the rear bagger attachment, as I have a lot of trees and it makes picking leaves up in the fall a breeze. If I had strictly grass to deal with, I may have saved a bit of cash and gotten the rear discharge deck and mulching kit. The rear bagging attachment does take up a bit of space on the right side of the machine, which limits how close you can get to obstacles.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Yes it has some very nice features and love the Kubota Diesel power! Purrs like a 1700 lbs kitten! Lol!!!

I have a ZD326 ..... wise choice. BUT I'd have an F series over the ZD if I could afford. . At twice the cost only reason I don't. I mow 4+ acres...at 7 even more reason to consider the F series.

Yeah the F series are nice machines. I've sat on a few. Not sure how I fill about using the steering wheel... moving the sticks is very easy and good ergonomically vs spinning the steering wheel all day. I like the F series though for it's ability to get under trees and drive up steep terrain. 4wd! :thumbsup:

Harder to drink something with the ZD. Put on a steering knob and piece of cake. F series you can steer one hand and I'd much prefer that .... but expensive.
