Anyone having trouble jumping on this site? Can get to the homepage but when trying to get particular forums I get "cannot find server" message. I know they were attacked by adware this past week but now I cannot navigate at all.
Thanks Scooby. I tried it and it stated that its down for everybody which is puzzling since some guys state they are not having trouble.
Agreed... It's been way too quiet. I would say we're "still hacked" rather than "hacked again".
If you want to disable JavaScript in Chrome...
Open Chrome
Go to settings by clicking on the button under the RED X (looks like 3 horizontal lines)
Go to settings
Then, at the bottom of the settings page, click on the blue text "Show advanced settings"
Next, Click on the "Content settings" button
Lastly, "Do not allow any site to run JavaScript"
I'm on it.

/edit - but when I tried to go to the home page it hit linkbucks
However if I maneuver just thru the tree care forums it seems to work
And disabling javascript is reported to work best
Looks like their main forum page has been taken over, but not the individual pages, if you use the dropdown "quick navigation" on the bottom right you can change forums.I can get on and navigate with your link but only here. Is this the only place you can maneuver through as well? Cannot go anywhere else w/o that adware taking over.
That site has been the subject of some persistent hacking lately. Seems that someone has injected malicious java script into several areas that keeps replicating itself somehow or is being reloaded by someone. One way to fix the problem is to run "no script" and disable scripting on the home page, has worked for me for the last week or so. It also stops a lot of other sites from loading adds and you can stop Google from tracking your every move. AdBlock plus is another tool that stops the annoying adds from loading and makes pages run a lot faster not having to load all those adds.
Assuming that you are using the default browser (Safari), there is an add-on available for Adblock plus: https://getadblock.com/I am by no means computer literate (well maybe on a third grade reading level) but I think things may be different on a Mac. Mac simply will not allow a site to run if it picks up maliciousness or it will give me a warning of the dangers of proceeding to a particular troubled site. Would you know how to do this "no script" thing on a Mac because I certainly do not. I seem or was told I have an "Ad blocker" built in to this computer from Mac yet that ad that runs over Arboriste site is free to frolic about as long as it wants on my set. Anybody can tell me anything about a computer and I just say "uh huh" with a dumb ***** grin on my face that matches my brain. Today I cannot even get on with Newbury's link that worked a couple of days ago. Just comes to a blank page.
