A puzzling question? Why didn't they just unhitch that heavy tank trailer before any attempt was made to pull the tractor free?:D

Because that would be logical?
Seems like unhooking the tank and pulling it out backwards would have been a better plan of attack.

That's too cool. Makes me want to pull something in half myself.

Maybe the tractor was being punished. You the know the Russians used to "draw and quarter" as a means of punishment.

Pretty sure the guy behind the camera was NOT the owner of that tractor.

funny thing is they'll probably piece it back together within a day or so and do it again.

You hit the nail on the head here!

How come the CHAIN did not break first!

I say this is a setup shot.

As Bugs Bunny would say: "What a bunch of Maroons"

The trailer left on, the angles wrong, pulling on the end that was free, and if you notice the pull vector was smashing the front tires bad just before the tractor split. Man they did everything wrong, If they had unhitched the trailer, and pulled it out of the way and then hooked to the drawbar, it would have tended to pull the back end up out of the hole, instead of trying to drag the trailer down in the hole... Oh well.

I've got a couple of chains in my barn that would snap a tractor in half before breaking a link. Makes me wonder because theres a lot of laughing going on in the video! . . .John
