I purchased a Titan (Chinese) hydraulic skid steer flail mower, and upon using it for several hours discovered a seal leak on the gearbox. Turns out the input shaft seal was installed incorrectly. Here is what they did that is unprecedented in my experience. They quickly reimbursed me for my time and a new seal. I also made a modification to the spool piece adapter so you can drain and refill the gearbox without removing the hydraulic motor.

Good job Bob,
I would fix it too, if it happen to me.
As a mechanic myself, it is the way to be sure all is done as I expect and having the satisfaction of doing it too.
This is something someone who have difficulty to know which way to remove a nut, can understand.

Why not take back to the dealer and let them fix it?

Well, let's see. They're in Mississippi and I'm in Washington state. It's not like they're just down the street. Had your curiosity been piqued enough you would have checked out their website. They don't have a repair shop, they are a distributor. Normally, they would have just sent me a whole new flail mower but they were out of stock for that model. And even if it was sent to a dealer for warranty repairs, they wouldn't have made the mod to the spool piece. And you might be happy to know that they also sell attachments that are painted green.

Your compelling signature line speaks volumes about you, and answers the question - "Why would anyone ask that?" No, I'm not offended, in fact I'm laughing.

Thank you Jacques. I also take pride in my work.
I think when you send something back for warranty work, or any repairs for that matter, you're gambling that the mechanic knows at least as much as you do.
