I went the opposite direction - I'm from NE TN (Kingsport) just across the mountains from where you currently reside. Now, I live in the Baton Rouge area. I'm headed up to Chattanooga and Kingsport this weekend to do the family thing over the holidays.
I still get homesick for the mountains at times, but I console myself with a few more crawfish tails and 70 deg. winter weather.

Just noticed some folks on here were near my location in WNC. I'm in tiny town called Marshall, NC app. hour and 15 minutes from Johnson City.
Got a Kubota 4610 HST cab last Thanksgiving and couldnn't come up with enough for all attachments at once. I left roto-tiller off until spring. So, guess it's spring, huh.
Just wanted info on what size for this tractor. I've noticed most attachments incicated in manual were in 6 ft range, but for a tiller, my manual recommends maximum size at 60"....wondered why, since my rear tire width is 72"???
been thinking about the King Kutter at TSC with slip clutch and gear drive........might need to look into this First Choice model. Any suggestions appreciated.

In my opinion, Kubota is very conservative in their implement size recommendations, but of course, I'm sure they don't want unhappy owners if they happen to be working in severe conditions. I know some would disagree with me, but if it were me going out to buy a tiller, I would NOT buy one that wasn't as wide as the rear tire tread width. I think a 72" King Kutter from TSC would be a good choice, although there are certainly others that may be as good or better.

I guess that puts you about 20 minutes or so from Asheville, too? I'm just down the road right out side Hendersonville. A week or two ago, I saw a dealer ad in the Iwanna for a used tiller, either a NH or MF. Can't remember the dealer name, but it was somewhere up in your neck of the woods, off 19/23 somewhere. If memory serves me, it was a good price for the tiller, but I can't remember exactly what size it was. I just know it was way too big for my BX2200.

Can't seem to find much negative about it. about 1/3 of price of Landpride I started to get when buying the tractor. I went to Sweet Tractor and not much info there. They used same pictures for all the different models displayed so that didn't help.

I also have a L4610 HST cab. I already had an Bush Hog RTH-80-01 tiller, so that is what I used to do my garden this year. It worked great. I will admit my soil is sandy, but I think with the HST transmission where you can control your speed a 72" tiller would be OK.
I had similar questions about the size of a bush hog mower since my 5' mower would not get close to the fences. The Kubota manual said max weight 890 lbs. I finally decided to hook up my 10' 1790 lb mower to see what happened. Yes it is to large to be used on this tractor, but it did work. It would even pick the mower completely off the ground, with the fel on. I think it could handle a 1100 lb 7' mower pretty good.
Just my thoughts.

I got the 72" KK tiller for my L3710 ... leave it on for the weight when I'm not using another implement.
I managed to till one of my pastures at full depth in 3rd gear (GST) with no problems at all ... and since I'm into clay (all the topsoil was stripped before I bought this place) ... I'd say you will have no problems with a 6 ft tiller.
I've had it for a little more than 2 years and am very satisfied with it.
I got the 72" KK tiller for my L3710 ... leave it on for the weight when I'm not using another implement.

I just picked up KK 72" tiller, I had the same concerns as you about pto hp. Well it works fine on mine, and I'm guessing you have alot more hp than me. I tilled both a garden that had not been tilled in a couple of years and some new ground around it that had never been tilled. It seems the the tiller just keeps getting deeper in the ground the more passes I make. But the tractor never even grunted. In all fairness though I have light soil.

I've got an L4310hst and have a Landpride RTA2570 tiller it does just fine behind the 4310.
HST is the key in real clay soil being able to slow down and not overload the tiller. When I first got the tiller I had my trusty ole L3750 and it wasn't hst. I had more trouble getting the ground speed correct versus tilling conditions. Don't miss that ole hydraulic shuttle shift a bit. But that ole tractor had alot of memories with it./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
I've attached a picture of the tiller behind my tractor it's the perfect size. I wouldn't want anything smaller.
