A stuck clutch?

I'm going dane dane dane.....am I gonna have to split this thing? I've got a Massey 1020...luv the little guy, done great service for me. Today I jumped on, it was in First gear slow mode, the clutch was pressed in, started the tractor and
there she was moving forward on it's own!! No matter what I did with the clutch pedal she moved forward !! Any thoughts? I found a happy place for the machine and had to stop it by turning the motor off, did not enjoy doing that.

grrr grr grrr.....sorry, guess nothing works perfect forever! Any idea's be greatly appreciated.(no no not want to split the thing!)

Sounds like a clutch problem to me...before concluding the worst, check the linkage and make sure you are doing something when you press the clutch pedal. Maybe the linkage is loose or ?

Gotta be at least 50 threads about stuck clutches and hoe to repair. Do a search first.....

I used to have a 1030 that I inherited from my Dad that would do the same thing. That tractor had an arm that you could engage to keep the clutch pedal down when not using the tractor. If I forgot to tie the clutch pedal down, I could experience the same “surprise” that you did. In that event, I would drive the tractor around, and eventually the clutch would become “unstuck”. Thereafter, I would remember to “tie down” the clunch pedal!

My Yanmar has a lever to hold the petal down and I made a lever for the New Holland. I need to check if I used them last time I put them up.

I just posted "stuck clutch fixed"
I warmed mine up at high idle, gave up and let it cool tried one more time, broke free on the third tug.
Tractor in high gear, clutch blocked down, by myself so I pulled up hill.
Gentle tugs with f150.

Not that you should do it but.....my mf1020 had a stuck clutch on purchase. I set both speed levers to high and threw it in first gear, released right away. (Low/low did nothing to unstick it). Mine has a little hook on the clutch pedal that holds it down while it sits now
