I love the classic "free stuff" comments they crack me up, I even mentioned it the other day in my video. These types of comments come from jealous hateful types who try their best to justify in their mind why they hate someone, carnival barker as you say, corporate shill all sorts of stuff but it always comes down to "free stuff" they just can't help themselves and have to just blurt it out. The "free stuff" comments are simply jealous of others success for some reason but more importantly completely and utterly oblivious to so many things. For example there is nothing "free" I work a full time job and another second full time job which is YouTube. I work well over a 100 hours a week with everything I do, not complaining because I enjoy it, and it pays off. As a matter of fact it is now 3:50am and Im going to start editing a video, should finish by 6:00am with the entire process then go to my real job, I will get home from there around 5pm, then do more work here on the property, shoot another video and be doing the same thing tomorrow morning at 4:00am.

What is really amazing to me though is how different people can be, how overwhelmingly kind, and nice some people are who are genuinely happy for others. I see it in hundreds of comments on our channel daily, in emails, FB messages, and in person when we meet people that watch our channel. Just great, wonderful loving souls that want everyone to do well. Just good people, then you have the 2 percenters, its actually about 1.5 percent but I rounded up. You Cat Driver are a 2 percenter! The hater, the Troll, the one that doesn't like when good things happen to others that work hard. Anyway thanks for showing your true colors and good luck 2 percenter, I need to go to work!

Mike
You sir took the high road in this tirade against you. I have watched most of your videos during the last year plus or so. I was in the market for a new tractor and was doing online research while working away from home. I saw a link for a brand I had not seen previously. It turned out to be you and your family working on your projects with something called RK tractors. Who knew? I found the videos to be informative and interesting with a varied content about other things going besides just a constant review of tractors. You did a great job of producing the videos all the while keeping the rest of your life going. You sir, have done well. The deal between you and RK was yours to make and of no concern to me. I do recall you being honest and open about what you thought of the tractors. I appreciated your candor in discussing many things going for you and your family. Integrity is sorely lacking in too many video producers and jealousy too rampant in many keyboard warriors. Thank you for doing what you did for the tractor community. I hope all of your future endeavors continue to be blessed.

Personally, I like it when you get new stuff. Every item like the saw mill, chipper and chainsaws I have been researching. I can’t afford them but trust your unbiased reviews.

... If we want to watch an infomercial we'll watch ...

That's another big reason I gave up TV in general. Got too involved trying to decide which shows were NOT spam-o-mercials. Even the home improvement shows got heavily into product placement and brand mentioning.

... but trust your unbiased reviews.

Funny stuff. Do you think if a 'Tuber really dislikes something and openly trashes it, they'll continue to get stuff to 'review' without buying it out of their own pocket? 'Reviews' on Amazon prove how worthless 'free stuff reviews' are.

I read Doug's posts here. He was exactly as I described. Abrasive and clearly toeing the company line of 'our's is best no matter what and we always have the best prices too', even after I showed him they didn't. And then he either got canned or walked off in a huff without so much as a 'Toodles TBN!!'

The guy on the Tube is a paid mouthpiece for whoever he's hawking at the moment. Ever hear of Ron Popiel? Same schtick.

Wow,Still spewing your normal VITRIOL and useless DRIVEL I see for anybody that works hard and succeeds in life.

Mike, I think you did a wonderful job representing RK!

A few comments on ‘free stuff’.

First, the ‘stuff’ is NOT free. As you mention, the work required is enormous.

Secondly, some folks say that we are not objective since we are sponsored. For some folks, I think this is true. However, both you and I have taken a similar approach. We’re not young guys willing to sell our souls to get ‘free stuff’. Our business relies on the trust of our viewers. While we both enjoy youtube, and the community it brings together, neither of us is willing to endorse something which doesn’t work, or is a bad value.

It simply isn’t worth it to our reputations.

Thirdly, I find that as I have more opportunity to try out additional brands, I find it even easier to be bluntly honest about strengths and weaknesses of a given product. My livelihood will not depend on the sales of any one product.

Fourth, because I am honest and direct about strengths, weaknesses, price, etc, quality brands seek us out. Less quality brands choose not to deal with us. Presumably because they might be exposed.

So, at least for me, the review process is not as ‘biased’ as it might appear to the skeptic. If you were at my house with the camera off, you would hear the same opinions about the product as you hear with the camera on.

For someone who doesn’t “do” Youtube or Amazon, now your giving your opinion on them? Wow. Just wow.

Mike, Tim, and many others, keep putting out the good content. The majority of us are thankful for it. As for those who aren't, you know what they say... Haters' gonna hate!

Mike here "the paid mouth piece from youtube" couple things, I read a good quote once that I remembered when I read your comment about me. Albert Einstein said "whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters" Thats you, Im not and never was paid by RK Tractors, and I never tried to sell anyone anything. I couldn't care less what someone buys. All I did was run their tractors hard for two years on my property made videos and got a crap ton of stuff done in the process. I was honest about the relationship, honest about the tractors, (they served me well) and now Im moving on to try something else. Thats pretty much it.

Mike: I love your videos, and enjoy watching Melissa as your very competent assistant, the adorable golden retrievers, and your children.
ALL.... much better than good!!!
Your Wood-mizer videos make me want to buy one, but sadly I am now too old for that stuff.
If I were to buy a TYM built tractor though, I would just buy a TYM.
In the not so distant future, I see RK branded tractors as being the unsupported oddball among used tractors (ie: Cabellas).
As you can see from my profile, I am a (old) Ford, and Kubota guy.
