A lot of tractors you can lock down just one split brake with the parking "pawl" I think most in fact. I know my Kioti can. and the previous Kubota. You notice it when you have been using split brakes and go to set the park brake and only one brake pedal stays down because you dont have the little bar linking the brake pedals in place. If the JD had creeper gear it would be about right wouldn't it?. Maybe HST you could get the cruise control set, to the right speed not sure. With the one wheel with such a light load on it and the other one with the brake locked I don't think the tractor would move any. You could always put the bucket blade down also.

Open differential. I would be willing to bet that even without the brake being applied on the left wheel in this case, with such a light load on the right wheel and the left wheel having so much weight on it that the tractor would not move. It might nudge just a bit but almost anything in the way of resistance would prevent if from moving. Now the wheel in the air will move at twice the speed it normally would as the spider gears rotate and drives the bevel gear attached to the axle at twice normal speed.

I don't want to waste time figuring how it's done. I want to know why it's done. Methinks that JD owner may have gotten his brain a little too close to the barbecue grill the last time he was cookin'.:laughing:
