Does anyone remember how Markham wraps up their toothbar to ship it? I sold mine and don't remember what it was wrapped in for UPS. Thanks, JC

Just received my toothbar from Markham yesterday. It didn't have any packing, just the UPS sticker attached to it.

DITTO

it came in 5 working days, Melissa Markham called when it was shipped to let me know when it would arrive. then sent a thank you note.

exceptional friendly service, high quality and decent prices.

now I'll wait to see if they come up with a thumb kit for small backhoes, before I build my own.

I discovered Markham on this website and then realized that I only live about 20 minutes from their facility. I called them one afternoon and asked if I could order a toothbar and then pick it up myself. Allen Markham cut me a toothbar and I had it in the back of my truck within 45 minutes of that phone call.

Their operation is impressive and they are very good people. The 72" toothbar works very well on my tractor. I highly recommend them!!

It was right at $300. I didn't pay UPS shipping charges, but I had to pay NC sales tax (6.75%). If you live outside NC, I don't think you will pay sales tax. I want to say that it was $309. It is a big, heavy duty toothbar. I installed it in about 30 minutes.

Just got a Markham Toothbar on Friday. Was pleased with how fast I got it (ordered Monday, delivered Thursday) and the worksmanship is really good. Mounted toothbar in under 30 minutes. Ran it quite a bit this weekend and could not believe the difference it made. I grubbed an area I had planned for a garden and pulled some small trees with ease. I also regraded a section of my driveway that was compacted pretty well. The York rake I have wouldn't touch it, but the toothbar did a fine job of busting the top few inches up. I also moved some large oak logs that I couldn't budge by hand and the toothbar allowed me to scoop them right up. Only needed a chain on 1 or 2 of them to keep them in the bucket.
Great attachment at a fair price with excellent service...thanks to Markham welding!

Another satisfied Markham toothbar owner here. I have seen other toothbars with smaller teeth so there must be a smaller tooth available but the Markhams are nice and big. I just took mine off for the first time this last weekend to do some fine smoothing and hauling of gravel. That's the only drawback is that you lose the perfectly flat backdrag surface of the cutting edge when the TB is installed.

Do ya'll folks with toothbars take them off much or once they are on do they pretty much stay on?

In my case, I have no need to remove it. Mine stays.

And I do not mow with the loader attached.. :D :D

I just ordered mine, can't wait to get it and use it. They were a friendly bunch of people to deal with. Thanks for the info.

I have taken mine off once in the year I had it and this was to backdrag some sand fill in my yard. I timed myself to see how long it took to remove it. It took me 45 seconds using my air wrench. It probably would have taken me 2 minutes using a ratchet wrench.:)
