A Grey Area

I was considering a HINOMOTO 35hp with loader backhoe and full subframe to do the same kind of work this one is rated for. It was a tempting purchase, and without this thread I may have bought the wrong piece of equiptment for what I want to do. The TLB35D I now have seems to be purpose built to dig with both front and rear buckets and do it really hard. I already found out after 1 day, that it seems to have a thing for taking out smaller trees.
As I was saying, now that I own this unit, I probly dont have a right to post anywhere here anymore. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I do hope my thread helps someone decide on the right tool for the job. Although I will not have a three point hitch with which to use implements, I have a mad angry digging machine that hates small trees. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You can post all u want too... I just meant to say that your machine is not a gray market unit. I thought you might get better responses some where else on this board. You have a cool machine that most of the guys on here would like to have and be glad to talk about. I did not mean anything negative at all. Just wondered if you knew what you had! I did not follow the time line on this well. I did not realize u bought this thing after u posted. I thought u bought it and thought it was a gray market unit.... u ok.

Well, mainly, the post from tractors4u, helped push me in this direction.
I have since seen this beast do some incredible things for its size. I have also been doing my share of troubleshooting considering I just got it. For exampl, the saftey switch was mis diagnosed by several pros I spoke to over the phone. Turns out they all (3 in all) were refering to the reverse beeper switch instead. The starter and battery was said to be replaced with new before I bought it because "they too" couldnt figure out the starting prob until they realized the pedal had to be pushed slighty forward to start. This had me confused for a few days. Now When I finally get to testing and then adjusting the pedal, everything seems fine, until I am doing my first real job, and she wont start again. Luckily my "client" has a hammer, broken handle and a nail sticking out of the top, but better then a rock, I barley tap the starter and she goes. So I get the new battery and starter as a bonus. (yeah) It sticks ! Meantime, I pulled two HUGE stumps out as an extra for the "client" and then snapped the Keyway, between the pump and the rear axle. Now the front wheels rely on a load sensing valve to turn and dont go nowhere without the rear. With the backhoe picking it up and pushing, I got it to the trailor and winched it the rest of the way up, nearly die in the process along with killing my helper when it started to roll off the front. So with a $2.00 keyway, and some CHOCKS, I should be good to go !

I finally have a TLB worthy of both my website and my crazy business idea. You will see the "Farm Pro/Jinma" Roof top I put on this thing. They forgot to take it when they came for the thing, so I decided to store it on the top of this TLB, and it looks like it belongs there. Today I made some last bit adjustments to the fit and it looks like its going to stay up there. Unlike in the pic. You wait and see.
Meantime, in the rear,( /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif) I had to weld the ring gear after the bolts snapped because we couldnt get the broken set screw for the pin out. I realized afterwards that I believe We were looking a a Power Tracs carridge upgrade. But I am not too sure, but it did have what I thought were clutch packs and such. If it is the Power Tracs, then I hope the new bolts and welds hold because I cant afford a new anything right at the moment. We thought it was the four Yoke bolts at first glance, but it was ALL ten ring gear bolts that had either fell out or snapped.
Whats your take on what went on in there, someone upgrades the rear, but snapped the set screw and then fails to tighten the ring bolts all at the same time ? or did the stock rear just fail after 1700 hard hours...
Some other issues I am also aware of at this time are, where the left right backhoe rams arms attatch to the boom the bearings fell out of place, the FEL seems crooked, and one of its rams has a slight leak. Some minor leak down occurs. Oh, and it needs front counter weight real bad. How much weight and what to do if your on a tight budget ?
I got work to do with it this week, and we will see if the rear will hold or not soon enough. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Overall this little thing is a beast.
