A few mods I made to my friends F550

My buddy bought this 2001 F550 and wanted to shorten the bed so he could tow gooseneck trailers with it. He gave me some money a couple of months ago when I was short, so I got a chance to repay him.

These first two pictures are before I started.

These next three are after I cut off the rack.

Since the bed was so wide I had to angle the rear corners for clearance. I also had to move the filler neck forward as much as I could to get enough of an angle on the left rear. I shortened the bed 14" and moved the hitch too.

These last two are of the tail lights, which turned out pretty well too, IMHO.

Can you mount the gooseneck set-up behind the rear axle? If so how far back. I want to use a Dump truck to transport a gooseneck trailer. Is this possible?

You stink......your work stinks.... I can hardly tolerate folks that do such good work with little or no effort... makes me mad...... :confused2:
