A couple of ideas and suggestins

Just thought Id pass on a couple of things that scared the heck out of me.One is I had read here about how someone threw the clutch in and they broke the finger on the pressure plate.This sat in my mind and then a week later i throw my clutch in a huge snap . I imedietly thought the fingers broke off.:thumbdown: But upon inspection i notice the spring to hold the clutch return had popped .I was relieved to know this, and replaced it with a spring from a bed frame. Anyways it returns the clutch fine and has the right amount of sprng to it. Although now its softer and that is good for my knees. So some with knee problems might consider replacing with a softer spring.
My next scare was in the 4 wheel drive use.I could hear a slight snapping sound as I backed up with a load of snow.This was quite scarey. and after a day of being concerned and thinking the worst, I notice there was some wattery dirty looking drip on one front wheel.So I cheked the tightness and the wheel seemed tight. but then with a wrench i found three to be loose and allos the wheel to shift ever so slightly.
so a quick tightening and all is well.. So check those nuts,:laughing::laughing::thumbsup::cool2:

Thanks for posting ,there was a thread about loosing a wheel and i went and torque all of mine but for some reason that is just something you don't think about happening.

well I dont use a toorgue wrench, but never had one losen up untill this one. I never would have thought the wheel could transmit that slight sound into the cab area. And glad for the melted snow that was dirty..

now get out your big sockets and tighten your fel bolts to frame....i was surprised at how loose several were, and i'm not the only one.

I'm the guy that almost lost the wheel ... Down to a single bolt. Not good. I've torqued all mine and taken five minutes to check all the FEL bolts and every other bolt I could easily reach. I'm going to make it a routine part of maintenance. I was lucky to have had no damage, just the cost of some new bolts - and a friendly neighbor with heavy jacks to help get the wheel back on.
