Ok kioti pack i need help i was asked to make a inlay of kioti dk45 into a cutting board i need to find a natural wood color to match the orange. I have ebony for the black. Maple or ash for white color. Having trouble on the orange.

Take pine or aromatic cedar and use #1 orange shellac, much easier than trying to find natural orange color wood. It will not be Kioti orange, but the contrast will be there--artistic license and all that.

Lacewood is sort of orange depending on the board. Would also give you an interesting ontracting pattern. Fairly easy to work with. Tough to surface with a hand plane though.

I can't use shellac it has to be all natural woods at least to get close to orange. So they can cut on it. It is for a client that bought six kioti tractors after trying mine out.

I have used lacewood it's more brown then orange. But maybe will ask the client if that is a option

Pumpkin pine is kinda orange and should be easy to find around your home, it is just really mature white pine

Have you looked at mahogany or teak. They're both soft, but are orange(ish) in colour.

I have mahogany i tried that with a sample and the guys said no.
