My dad died this week. It would be unfair for me to mourn. Here was a man who lived 93 years. He was happily married to the same woman for 67 years. He was able to retire at 45 and then went sailing until he was 85. So with all the suffering in the world it would be churlish for me to be too upset.
That doesn't mean I won't miss him. He lived in England whilst I moved to the States so the saturday morning phone call was the major source of communicating. I dont think I can remember him ever being really cross, but that phone call was the time to lock horns on politics. We were diametrically opposed but I'll let you guess which pole we occupied
