I wish you the best of luck. Sometimes new AC compressor & hoses isn't the total answer. My '91 tractor cools great utilizing 134A but still has some of the original AC hoses

Make sure the expansion valve is the right one for 134. It wont work as well if it is for r12 and it's used with 134.

A 134 expansion valve has 134 in the bulb instead of r12.

dad/mom drove the tractor over yesterday - i talked to Terry the repairman yesterday after mom/dad dropped it off, he has 90% of the items there and will tear into it over the weekend/first of the week barred no one has a crisis breakdown that interrupts, i never want my stuff to bump someone trying to get their crops in/out hay done, etc.......my stuff is not that critical i dont use my stuff to make a living i just maintain our stuff/others that isnt done by the folks that we rent/share crop with.

So..... Its getting a receiver/dryer, expansion valve, lines, orings, sanden compressor, for starters..............if needed the aux condenser due to the fact the 88 series had a few issues with cooling and condenser volume/pressures, he will check the rest and figure out why the compressor was not kicking on of course - i dont think that was it because i was not getting power on either thermostat wire.

You might wanna try the tint film that is for car/truck windows
perhaps this would help cut down the inside temp.

If the expansion valve was plugged one side would go way
high and the opposite for the other side

Way more guessing here than real info.
High pressure on the low side will not prevent the clutch from activating. Your reported high side pressures won't prevent the clutch from activating. Either pressure switch could have failed, or the thermostatic switch may have failed or a relay may have failed. Look for voltage coming from the thermostat when the system is calling for cooling and follow that voltage through the pressure switches to the clutch.
