My old center actuation steering husky, 4wd mower is breaking and needing parts so I'm looking for it's replacement. Our yard is all hill so awd is needed and a loved the old huskys steering which was like a zero steer mower. Yes I've tried a zero-steer here and didn't like it. What's available today? If you have an all wheel steering john Deere feel free to comment on it.

I also love Husqvarna's 4" turning circle front mounted mower. We still have and use our Rider 1550 although it's 22 years old now and over 2500 hours of mowing.

Husqvarna still has the front mounted mowers available and in 4wd. But who could afford one at around $8K. And who would want one now that Husqvarna has announced that they're getting out of the small engine business. When our little 42" Rider dies this time, I suspect it'll be the graveyard for it. Every part on it 'has' to be worn out by now.

For our heavy non-lawn mowing we recently bought a Kubota Z2412. Super fast mower and comfortable. However, it is definitely is not for mowing steep grades though. Your search for a good 4wd is right on target. Good luck in your decision.

I'm in the feild working but I'll check out these machines when I get home. Someone told me husky sold there lawnmower division to another co so maybe these mowers are still available. I imagined it's replacement would be 5 to 10k.

It's America yard products who they merged with. Our yard is such we can't use are large or wide mower deck and I do like those front mount ones.
