997 ZTR Diesel

Picked up my new 997 ZTR this evening. I tried mowing with it for a few minutes, mainly concentrating on just driving it and getting used to how it handles. It should cut my mowing time quite a bit. It's really built solid. Has the 72" 7 Iron deck, shaft drive to the mower.

How much area are you using it to cut? Should be a beast for most lawns I just got a Ferris is3100z with a 72" and 32hp briggs big block gas and thats really powerful, the diesel has to be even better in the heavy stuff.

I'll have to check about the bumper. Didn't know one was offered. It would have to tilt with the hood. I'm having to be careful driving it until I get used to it. Moves fast!

Could someone please post a pic of the rear bumper. I am looking at purchasing a 997 in the next few weeks. Going to Demo one next week.

don't know if this is going to work or not. The bumper does have two spring loaded "L" pins that release the bumper so it comes down and the hood can be opened.
