What are the best options for a 96” land plane? I need to build/maintain an 800ft driveway and several parking areas.

About the only "options" for a land plane grading scraper - scarifying shanks. I have shanks on my LPGS and a hydraulic top link.

A 96 inch unit is awful wide. Generally speaking - you want a unit that is half as wide as your driveway. Go up one side - come back down the other side.

The LPGS will not create a crown on a gravel driveway. However - it can tend to flatten out the crown.

I don't know what your term "build" means. If this means - construct from raw land - then the LPGS IS NOT the implement you need.

Perhaps a better description and a picture or two.

That size land plane will need a big tractor! I can bring my M7060 to a quick halt using a 6' rear blade.

I totally agree - deserteagle71. But look at the bright side - in 4WD the tires are digging four nice holes for you.

I've only pulled my M6040 down when using the scarifiers on my LPGS. OR when trying to find China with my HD Rhino rear blade.

For what you are wanting to do I think you'll need something like this...and a much heavier tractor.

I will be tilling the top soil, removing the good stuff with my bucket for use in other areas, putting down geotextile fabric, then having 21AA limestone tailgated on the drive.

I want opinions on different brands of LPGS to spread the limestone and maintain this drive in the future. The main drive will be 15’ wide for the majority of the length.

I have a top and tilt kit installed.

OK There are many good brands. I happen to have a 84 inch Land Pride - LPGS. I also looked at Rhino, Bush Hog and Woods.

I have a 96 inch HD Rhino rear blade. And a Bush Hog roll over box blade.

You will be spreading the limestone. A LPGS is not the implement you want when spreading material. A box blade or a rear blade will do the job you want.

Any LPGS will smooth out surface material by passing it over the blades. It will not spread the material. It's simply not designed for spreading.

To do the very best job - a heavy rear blade with a tail wheel.

My vote is for a BEFCO. I just bought a 72" to pull behind my SA425 and it has no problems with it at all. The BEFCO was almost #200lb more than the competing Frontier model and other name brands. I have a 60" Frontier (Bought last year) also and the BEFCO does a better job IMO.

Your tractor will handle a 96" fine. My tractor with loaded tires and loader is under #3k lbs.

Your tractor with loader is probably close to #5,500lbs more than twice the weight and HP than mine. If your tires are loaded, over #6k easily.

In all honesty - the tractive ability of your tractor will determine how you can use any land engagement implement.

Lighter tractors with R4 tires will have to take a shallower cut. Heavier tractors with R1 tires will be able to take a deeper cut.

Makes little difference. Sooner or later you will take too deep a cut and find that your tractor is, very rapidly, coming to a complete stop.

I don’t mind taking an extra pass or two (who would turn down an excuse for more seat time?). But if I can effectively pull a 96” plane 98% of the time that is the size I would like.
