95 Buick century dash light problem
My mothers friend has a 95 buick century and the lights that illuminate the gauges dont work, the idiot lights all work fine, but the speedo light, the temp light, and the fuel light dosn't light up and thats all the gauges that there is. Also when you turn on the headlights the display on the radio shuts off but the radio still plays. I determined that its nothing in the gauge pannel i pulled apart the dash and pulled out the white box that the gauges are in. There are two large plugs on it so you don't have any wires conneting it to the dash. I tried replacing the headlight switch and it didnt change anything. Her friend brought it to a mechanic and he said it could be either the headlight switch or a solinoid. I'm not sure were the solinoid would be or what it would be used for. He said it could be anywere from 50 to 650 to fix. So i fuigered i'd take a look at it. And i did check all the fuses and they're all good.
Any ideas?????
