everyone here comments that the 90 is far better than the 72, mainly due to the extra clearance.

if the tc will work the 90 why would you go for the lesser width?

Sorry about my late comment, but I didn't notice this thread before. Big ditto on the 90" mower. I had actually ordered the 90 inch then got cold feet and had it changed to the 72 inch in case the 90 wouldn't fit somewhere. I've regretted that decision ever since. I'm fixing to take a big hit on trading in my 72 inch for a 90. You can't find any used 90's for sale anywhere.

The 90 inch mower also has an option to get a third anti-scalping wheel in the front of the unit. Just to expand on mouse's comment, the extra clearance is to the side, since the side edge of the mower sticks out an extra 9 inches to each side from the Toolcat.

And don't discount the time saved by having the extra cutting width. I had a chance to use a 90 inch mower for a while and the difference in mowing time is significant.

i have the 90 - get the 90. it requires sig less power than my snowblower or brushcat. the mower limits your speed, not the tc horsepower/torque.
