8n side distributor with electronic ignition

I'm not sure which type circuit I have honestly. The generator has been replace long ago with what appears to be a generator out of an automobile perhaps? I have been assuming it is the shunt type two brush(it's been at least 5 years since I rebuilt it, pretty sure I remember it being 2brush). That said, the regulators I have are A-circuit style. Is this correct for this type generator or should I find a B- circuit?

It might be worth your while to take the generator and regulator to a generator/alternator shop and get it checked out professionally. That would be better than boiling batteries. Once it's right, they can tell you how to polarize it.
