Thanks for looking in - Recently purchased 88 Ford 555B and the trans dump valve wasn't working. Turned out the micro switch was broken and no wiring. I got a new switch but don't know what wire and where to go? I've heard one wire to fuse / which one? One wire to trans solenoid / heard LH side of trans but nothing there? Do see possible spot on top of trans - two posts with no wiring. I don't need to wire to loader handle so the switch says "common", "norm open", "norm closed" -- how should I wire this switch? Gauge wire? I do see on the schematic, it looks as if the Horn & RTD is the fuse location - what does RTD stand for? Thanks!

That original post seemed a bit long! I'm trying to find out what wire goes where for the floor/micro switch to trans solenoid valve? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I guess this info is easily known on this old of a machine? I think I have the wiring figured out - Does anyone know where the trans solenoid is located?

I put this diagram in one of your other posts, here it is again.

#2 is the solenoid, it's mounted on the left side of the transmission. If you could see through the battery box and frame, there it is.

Thanks - you've got me on the right track again! I hadn't seen the solenoid on the LH side the first time so I thought it must have been (something?) that I saw on top of trans beside gear shift. Anyhow I found it now on the side/bottom corner and I'm tracing and labeling wires etc - I guess #30 is the wiring harness - do you have any diagrams of that? Also is there way to diagnose if the solenoid is good besides hooking everything up and trying it out? Thanks again for your help!!
