If all goes well I will be bringing home an 855 tomorrow with a FEL and the Ag tires. Couple questions. I have a Woods RM306 I want to use. It's the old style with the check chains and big pulley in the middle..no gearbox. Any issues using it? Also, I want to get a 3pt tiller. What size should I get 4 or 5 ft? Thanks.

What speed is the mower intended to run at? I have an old Woods brush mower intended to run at about 1000 RPM PTO speed which means it doesn't exactly work for my 855. I think were I buying a tiller, I'd go for 4 ft. Not too narrow and not as likely to over power your tractor.

Being hydro tranny, I think I'd go 5' on the tiller. Can go slow, and at a depth that the 855 and 19 PTO hp will handle. Nice when you can cover the wheel tracks. If it were gear, then I'd suggest 4' too.
That mower is a finishing mower, so see no issues with connecting to your 855. As long as the rpm of the PTO is correct.

Yeah the rpm is 540 so should be OK. It does a nice job behind my old Ferguson. I keep it set up as high as it will go and just use it in my open field...about 3 acres. I used to have trouble with gangs of kids roaming through but not so much since I raised the deck height. lol

Guy on another site said he has used a 6ft tiller behind his 755 going slow. So I'm thinking a 5 ft would work OK. Thanks again. Can't wait to get it.

i have a JD 750 gear, same general size (just a bit smaller) i use an old woods rm59 and look it. i also have a 52" woods tiller and it does fine behind the 750. i could run a 5ft tiller but i don't have one.

855 hydro......everything 5' or 6'. Depends on weight of attachment. Most dealers and pundents say 4' to 5' max.....they never owned one or never used one. Had a backhoe attachment that I would dig footers and crawl spaces with. Used a 7' York rake. Had 6' belly mower thus a 6' bush hog would work as long as one was cutting grass and light stuff. Had a 5' two stage snow blower ...worked great. Hydro helps greatly. great tractor......Farmall H was only 19 horsepower....weighted bunches more but it wasn't 4 wheel drive either.

5 foot will cover your tracks and it will pull it fine. Some 4 foot models are offset to one side, you just have to work the same direction from one side of the garden to the other. I pull a 5 with my 2520 and it pulls it fine, I'd rate it at about the same power that my 855 had.

I just noticed a 6' belly mower for sale locally. It looks like the ones I've seen on 855/955 but the ad says it was on an 870. Is there any way to determine fitment on these?

I believe I saw a footnote somewhere that said the 72" MMM deck was not compatible with 11.2-16 R1 rear tires on the 855.

I'm not 100% sure, but think the deck is the same... just different tractor mounting hardware for 870.
