825i winch mounting

Hello;

We have a 825i and are considering installing a winch. The JD option seems to pricy. Have any of you mounted them directly to the 2" hitch receiver tube? I have never seen the JD option so don't have any idea how they mount.

I know a couple of guys that have purchased the Badland winches from Harbor Freight Tools and they love um.

I haven't mounted one on a 2" receiver mount but I was able to purchase my JD brand winch brackets from Ebay and used them to mount my Warn winch. I like having my winch tucked in the cubby hole out of the way, it would be nice to move the winch from the front to the back sometimes I guess but I haven't seen that time yet and feel the extra overhang would be more of a hindrance when navigating offroad....bolting it down is also good theft prevention.
