Rear Blade 7ft Arps Scraper/Grader Blade

They both look like fairly light duty blades, despite what the one guy said about it being a "heavy duty"-some people think just because it's made of steel it's "heavy duty"

If your only using it for light work, I would think either one would work. I don't think it's a great deal for either one, you could do better.

Those both look weak. What are you buying a blade for?

Ditto, look for some older models, Ford, Ferguson, Dearborn, Some older ones offset, swivel as well as rotate, a great combo for true versitilty. I think I have two twins here, Dearborn paid $100 and likely $200 (been awhile on the first one), These are not my pics, just examples.

Not sure about how sturdy they are, but the first one would work for me. Anymore I use mine for moving snow so I don't need one that's really heavy. A more realistic price in these parts would be $250.
I don't see how you get it to tilt.

I have one exactly like the red blade. It works fine for plowing snow and dragging gravel.
It isn't heavy duty. I bent the frame on it when I backed into a stump.
Adjusting the offset is a bit difficult, as the channel collects rocks and ice.

I just checked, you can buy a new King Kutter of about the same grade and size for $349.
King Kutter Rear Blade (Width: 7') at Blain's Farm & Fleet
I have a 7' king kutter and bent it today, grading my road. The blade was new and this was the first time I used it. I caught one end on the tip of a large rock in the road. I heard a pop, turned around and the blade was bent back on one side about 3".
The king cutter is not a bad blade but is light duty only.

When I posted. I thought I would get an email if anyone responded. I didn't, so I assumed no one had. Just got a chance to come back to the forum today and see all of the responses. Thanks.

The fellow with the clean one emailed me yesterday and said I could have it for $ 300. I went up and bought it. From the posts, it looks like I paid too much. I just finished using a borrowed 7ft Land Pride scraper and the one I bought is a lot heaver. It can offset, swivel, tilt, as well as rotate. I will use it along with my 7ft york rake for maintaining my 3/10mile drive and well as light plowing.

Mark, The blade is bolted to a frame through 2- 8"long slots. you can tilt it via those slots.

Thanks for the help.

I just looked at 3 ARPS today, and all looked almost hardly used. The back side to this is the price. They went fron 500.00-800.00. Also., they were really heavy ( I could lift the mount ent only on the 6' one the bigger ones were very heavy and I could not lift the mount ends. I really don't know if they are worth the $$or not. They are in central Michigan. Tractor Supply Stores have a 7' heavy duty fully featured back blade for about $570.00 They are good, and will do mostly everything that you could use within reason. Food for thought.
