I discovered what the two l shaped pieces of metal stored around the front of the tractor are for. I understand they are the kickstand for removing the loader. However, for the life of me I can't figure out how they would support the loader when disconnected from the tractor. Does anyone know?

There are several different types depending on the loader design. They usually are described in the loader operating manual.

The stands, #24 fit into the hole that pin #22 was in

After loosening the clamp setup and removing pin #22, the stands fit into the pins hole after lifting the loader frame up.

Thanks for the reply. From the drawing it appears that pin 22 is a bolt. Will the round part of the stand slide into that hole or the larger hole that appears to anchor the end of the lift ram? (Part # 21)

Also, what keeps the stand from flopping over? Does soemthing go into the hole?

my bad..pin 22 in the second diagram. The pin that holds the frame to the mount on the transmission. I would suggest getting an owners manual before attempting removing the loader. It's heavy and not fun if it falls over, also a good way to get injured.

Okay, I see and there is a small piece of metal welded to the loader frame that keeps the pinned stands from "Flopping" forward or backward. Right?
I guess it woudl be prudent to put a block of wood inder the stands. Otherwise they would sink into the gorund.

Definitely put a block under the stands.
