Dad gave me our 2640 that I used to work on as a kid. He mentioned it needed a valve replaced in the injector pump. He's most likely going off of what one of their mechanics told him. Said it would take tearing the tractor down just to get to it. I'm not so sure. The main symptom, I bladed with it a little, parked it and now fuel seems to be leaking from the pump. What do you suppose it would be? Never worked on these before. He's telling me to trade it in and go in on a new tractor that will last me a lifetime. Not so sure I can part with 'Big John'. Too many memories. Plus it's had an engine rebuild and basically zero hours on the rebuild.
