I have a 1996 763H with the diesel.
I'm having trouble where it will run for 3 or 4 minutes and then it will lose all power and while wide open runs just above idle and then it will die. If I get out and go back and open the bleeder on the fuel line and then use the squeeze bulb to pump some fuel into it and pressurize the fuel system then it will start back up and sound great for a minute or two before it bogs down and dies. If I don't pump it up, it really doesn't want to start again.
In addition to the above, today when cold it ran great for probably 5 minutes before I had issues. So I don't know if its a heat related problem instead of fuel. But I really suspect its a fuel problem.
I put a new fuel filter on it. I assume this has a mechanical fuel pump? I'm wondering if I should try replacing the pump? Any recommendations on anything else I should check?
