Solenoid error on would mean there is voltage going to the solenoid when the thumb switch in in neutral and/or the detent trigger is OFF. Check the wire #4330 from solenoid back to controller for a short to power supply. The solenoid is nothing more than a magnetic coil, there is no voltage (not supposed to be) when switches are OFF. If you need the machine while trying to find the problem either unplug both auxiliary stem coils or make up a short hose with a male and female coupler and plug it into the front auxiliary coupler to allow the oil to flow. Reason the bucket and lift only worked one direction is the oil was dead headed up stream in the auxiliary spool so control valve was going over relief, when you move the bucket or lift spool max oil pressure goes to both ends of the cylinder and forces it to extend.
This code is not a Shut Down situation. If machine shut down on its own, then there was another code present. Very likely hydraulic oil over temp that would force a shut down.
