Thanks, Rick!

I did not come across that post whenIwas searching for some reason. Itdoes clear up a couple things I was unsure of, and my confidence is much higher after reading it.

Sorry for the repeat :ashamed:

Unfortunately, I can't edit the original post now, or I would include the link from RickB there to help anyone else who stumbles across this thread. Between the thread already linked and the one he linked, I would have had everything needed to understand.

Just a quick update for anyone who might be interested. I have finally had the right combination of time, parts, and information come together to have everything up and running properly.

Again, I apologize for the duplicate topic, and thanks to everyone who took the time to help me out!

Oh, and thanks again to Hematite for sending pictures of his setup. It took a lot of the guesswork out of the installation :)

I'm glad that they were of some help. I haven't been on lately so I didn't follow your progress. I'm glad to see that you have everything working well now.
I'm sure that you will be satisfied, the 758C has been a great backhoe for me.

Having purchased a NH TC40A and a 758C backhoe attachment to mount on it, I was told by the NH dealer where I purchased the BH that I would need a rear Hydraulic kit for the backhoe (84171956 kit). I purchased and mounted the kit prior to receiving the BH and was a bit perplex after mounting the handle (spring loaded) that I questioned the feasibility of this installation. Finally got the sub-frame and BH attachment mounted and confirmed that the hydraulics needed to be routed differently. I found this thread after the fact and found it very help full. I noted that I did have several options as I could run up to the FEL block and tie in to the hydraulic line that feeds the 3-pt hitch, but didn't want the problem of a hose running across the bottom and have to rehook it up when I needed to bush hog (it is a tight fit area). I also see by the posting that Woods makes an adapter plate (#1011423 adapter block) for their installation of a wood backhoe on this model NH. Will the two elbows (woods #63558) mount/thread onto this block without interfering with each other? Also what is a good way to identify the supply and or return hose on the 758C? I think the woods routing of the houses are cleaner and simpler than other options and the parts appear to be available. Two of their 21 inch hoses (#1009492) and 2 of their quick couplers (#64299) should be all I need to complete the hydraulics.

Ordered all the parts I posted for the woods hydraulics this morning from German-Bliss, added a 45 degree elbow #313049 and a straight adapter # 62367 in case there is a clearance problem of installing two 90s that close together. Hoses had a 3 week lead time and will have them made locally and will have them increased in length to 26 and 27 inches long. The QC F X F had an update and the part number changed to#316007, each one was more expensive than the adapter plate. Anyone have a simple design to make the BH and subframe mobile when I remove them to attach my other implements? I removed the pinned vertical parts on the 3-pt hitch and used nylon duct ties to strap the lower arms to the sub-frame. Upper arms just hang free, will install a slide lock in the slot to control the position of the raising and lowering handle. Are there any better alternatives besides removing all the hardware for the 3pt hitch?

After 3 weeks the parts were finally delivered. The woods plate uses smaller o-rings , used .487 x.103, where the New Holland plate uses .612 x.103 size o-rings. Discovered that the aluminum plate is approximately 1/2 inch thicker and will require longer bolts. Having already installed one rear valve the 8.8 bolts needed are one-140mm and three-80mm long. at 17 ft.lb. torque. The "new" quick disconnect that they supply (number above, comes with both male and female parts that connect to a 1/2 male pipe thread adapter on your hoses ) is a smaller size. The disconnects on the unit were a larger size, one with a 3/4 female end. Will have to have shorter hoses made tomorrow as the existing hoses are sized to replace the 3-pt hitch connections and are too long (approximately 38 inches end to end is all that is needed) with this application and are scarred up pretty good. The hoses coming from the block to the disconnect I covered with a large size heater hose due to the area of moving parts with the 3 pt hitch and such. And two 90s listed abovewill mount on this block
