755 won't run under load

Good Morning,

My JD 755 will idle fine but when I try to run the mower or speed up the engine it will not run correctly. I have changed the filters and bled the system. I can't see any bubbles or leaks anywhere. Any susggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure that the fuel dellivery from the tank to the filter is adequate. There is a strainer in the tank botton that can get full of crud. It maybe passing enough fuel to idle but not enough to develop full power.

Close the tank valve and then open the line from the tank to the filter and then hold a container under the end. Now open the tank valve.There should be a gush of fuel like a cow peein' on a flat rock. If there isn't, drain the tank and pull the valve/strainer out and clean it. Make sure that you don't leave any crud in the tank.

The other possibility is the air filter is clogged but I'd bet on restricted fuel delivery first
