755 John Deere what are they worth

A guy I work with just put a 755 in a farm consignment auction. He asked me before the sale what I thought it would bring. This was a 1 owner 2wd with a 60 inch mower deck and 1400 hours. I would rate the appearence as excellent. My guess was $5500. I asked him today what it brought and he told me $3350. I feel someone got a great deal or is this a fair price for the tractor. I believe that a dealer would not have sold it that cheap. I even have to wonder if a dealer was the one who bought it. I would not take that for mine and mine does not look as well as his did.

I think the 2WD is what hurt it. Around here anyway small 2WD tractors don't sell fast or bring much money. Does sound like someone got a deal on a nice tractor though.

Today's climate is a whole lot better for folk's lookin' for a good buy... not so good for anyone lookin' to sell!

Sellin' anything at the moment is.... a "hard sell"!
