7510 or 7610 with BH

I am looking at buying a 7510 or 7610 and was wondering if both would accept a subframe mounted Backhoe and what the approx. cost would be for one. I would consider a good aftermarket one or a Kubota. Both tractors would work well for me but want to make sure getting a 7510 would not limit my BH options.

I have a 7610 with a woods BH6500. I did not go for the Kubota BH because the Woods was a better overall unit and had larger capacities. For the Woods BH my dealer told me you could only put a BH6000 on a 7510. 6' reach vs.a 6.5' reach. You can also put the LA352 FEL on the 7610 but only the LA302 FEL on the 7510.

Being able to use the MMM would be perfect! How do you like the 7610? It seems it would be perfect for my uses and appears to be a very nice CUT.

I did do the pros & cons on 7510 vs. 7610 and I em very glad I went with the 7610, I concluded that the 3 extra HP was worth the extra $1,000. OR $333 per pony or $33 per pony per year if I keep it 10 years. etc. etc. etc. The BH is very useful also and as mentioned before the 7610 can handle a bigger hoe.

Well, I can help with some info on the B7610 and running the backhoe. See my post 60 Hour report on B7610.

I can't offer any views on backhoe pricing. A B7610 with a loader and 'hoe will be around $20,000 though, probably more with taxes. If you can get one cheaper buy it.

Great post - thanks for all the info. Have you found any "I wish I whould have had the dealer do XXXXX when I bought it" things? I was thinking of getting hooks welded on and maybe getting a tooth bar also. I am looking forward to talking with my dealer tomorrow!

For the Woods BH with the sub-frame and 16" bucket around $6,500 for 7610 with LA352 around $13,500 so like Dave said you can expect to be around $20k.

The dealer also loaded the rear tires & gave me a block heater.

You should see if you need to load the rear tires, if you are not goung to be removing the BH and using the 3PH for ahything else then you may not need the extra ballast that the loaded tires will provide.

Mine are loaded with calciom chloride (salt water) to protect from freezing. Depending on the area of the country you are in then you may be OK with just water. You may also want to consider window washer fluid (part alochol) in the tires and make sure the dealer puts in a tube before he fills the tires to prevent the rims from rusting.

Yes, I have found welded hooks indespensible on the front bucket. You may also want to consider a work light the front headlights are useless with FEL on.

I did put on a top-and-tilt control on the 3 point. I use it to make hitching up to trailers easier. It also makes it easier to attach equipment to the 3 point. In the 60 hour report I made reference to replacing the "chains" with telescoping bars. Here is a link to that post. After a few bashed knuckles from adjusting the chains, you'll think about this article. This posting has a link to TractorSmart's down-loadable B7610 parts manual, get it, it'll come in handy.

Woods BH6500 with sub-frame & 16" bucket I paid $6,480. My dealer is also a Woods dealer and he only stocks Woods BH for B series, doesn't push the Kubota BH.

Good they do have a sub Frame mount - looked on the site and was not sure what one would fit. They are expensive but over a life time it seems I could "get my monies worth" out of the attachment. Thanks for the info. I don't have a Woods dealer nearby but may need to make the drive now.

I looked at both the Woods BH6500 and the Kubota B4672A and decided to go with the BH6500, less $$ and more GPM flow. Also sturdier 3PH mounting system.
