That's why I always spent the extra buck on a great car stereo. It's amazing how nice a car is when you can't hear anything!/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
Or let your wife or children drive the thing around for a while! /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif
Me - "Dear, didn't you hear that sound?"
Wife - "What sound???"
Me - "Nevermind" As I pick up the phone to call the dealer for service. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
A guy I knew in high school had a Datsun Z car. It had an awful whine coming from the rear end. He knew it was gonna be time for a new rear end soon. In the mean time he put a new exhaust system on it. Brrrrraaaaapppppp Braaaaaapp from the exhaust was all that you could hear now. About four years later he got tired of all the extra noise and put the old muffler back on. And that darn bearing noise from the rear end had been there all along! It had just been covered up by the loud exhaust this whole time. The funniest part was that the whine from the rear end still drove him crazy after all that... He just knew the rear end was gonna blow up one day!
He should have just pulled the fill plug and jammed a few ripe banana's in there, that would have shut the carrier bearings right up!!! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
