Tractor
Kioti DK40SE with Cab.
In reviewing several brands of PTO powered tillers I noticed that all 6' tillers require a little more PTO HP then the DK40SE has. Does anyone have experience running a 6' tiller on this tractor? I prefer this width since it will cover the tire tracks. Is it more advisable to get a shorter tiller with adjustable clevis hitch so I can off set the tiller to one side. The ground I will be tillering can contain clay. Thanks

KW,
If it would ever quit raining and dry up, I could tell you. Went in half w/ my father-n-law on a KingKutter II, 72". Neither of us has been able to use it/ even try it out yet b/c of the rain. We got the 72" to cover tire tracks as well. I don't anticipate any problems but I'm sure someone else here w/ a DK40SE has used one and can tell us from experience?????

How soon you looking to buy one? I'll definitely post something as soon as I get to use it. Sorry, wish I had more info for you.

Your 40 should run a 72" tiller no problem.
My DK 35 handles a 72" King Kutter tiller just fine.

I have the Bobcat CT225 (Kioti CK27) run a 60" tiller on it and don't even know it is back there. Wish I would have gotten the 72".

I have a Land Pride RTA1566 and my Mahindra 3016HST runs it like a charm. Definitely nice that it covers both back tire and I didn't have to offset it.

I run a 6ft KK tiller on my DK40se. No problem at all. Used it to bust sod and a field full of old grape vines. Used low range, about 2200rpm and just steered. Tractor and tiller worked just fine together.

i had a 60" tiller on a 24 hp pto tractor..... so a 40 hp should have no problem adding 12" to tiller.

Tillers are awesome. I've rented nice 60" tillers and ran them in clay with no problems and 30 HP, your owner's manual should tell you what size of the various implements that your machine can run but more importantly you have the experience of many in this thread saying go for it.

I would love a tiller. The next two items for my machine are tiller and grapple.

I havnt tried seeing what my old JD 60" tiller will do behind the new Kioti. Im wondering if ill have to sell it . im thinking that the tires are so much wider than the unit. Maybe i can build an offset for it so it covers one side of the tire track. I paid $2,200 for it, and have hardly used it much. hate to have to low ball it to sell it, but no one wants to part with their $$$ these days.
