72" MMM on 3x20 tractor issue (Lift bracket lock banging on frame)

Machine is brand new with 3 hours of unproductive playing around hours. I noticed this issue where when you lift the mower deck where a loud pop is audible. I thought, i dont think that sounds right. Well the locks for the lift are hitting the frame somewhere. I added a few washers to shim it so it wont hit and told the dealer. Was gonna wait till the first service to address the issue but the dealer does not want to wait and they want it made right asap. They were already on the phone or whatever they do for this stuff with john deere. I showed them the picture below of the bracket that is taking a beating. They are picking up machine on friday. Good bunch of people there. They are also checking a few other things. I just wanted to document it on this website for future refernce for other people that may have the issue so they arent left in the dark when they do a search on here.

I think the one we have at work has a half inch spacerbetween the release lever and that bar . I can check it tomarrow if you'd like ?

yeah! that would be great my friend. Like i said, it would be great to keep these things documented for fellow john deere owners who might run into same issue. Thanks again and check back in if you have time.

Post the name of your dealer also. Not only do we like warnings about bad dealers, but we like references to great dealers. Glad its being taken care of for you!

Yeah. sorry about that. ITs Robert E. Littles John Deere of Downingtown Pennsylvania.
They have 3 dealers in 3 different towns.

Shortthrow , ours is welded to a half inch piece of steel , thats the only spacing it has , but it too looks as if its been rubbing on something , its currently on a pallet on rack so i can't see what its been hitting , and its only on the left side, sorry i couldn't help out more .good luck

thanks for getting back. its obvious that there is a spacing issue. Ill report back on what the fix was for me
