i am thinking of selling my 3 pt finish mower for a MMM. a local guy has one with 1000ish hours on it. my 4410 has a mid pto. what does a lift kit include?

the mower deck is not a drive over. is this a big deal? i'll be changing the deck out in my outbuilding with a concrete floor, if that matters.

what would you all say is a fair price for the deck, and lift kit?

I've seen 'em advertised (CL, Tractorhouse and MachineFinder) for $1500 depending on condition.
Did this come off a 4310 or 4410? If so, get the lifting kit from the seller.

I have an RFM, but a buddy of mine has a 60" MMM (Deere, off a 4310...it's for sale, BTW). To him, the biggest hassle is hooking up to the mid-PTO (probably why a lot of folks never remove the MMM).

i have a 4300 with a 72" MMM. I bout it and the tractor used and i think the mower was abused. I know it was used to mow a corn field judging from the corn cob peices in it and the blades were destroyed. It is still a good mower though. I just now rebuilt it and repainted it. I expect it to last annother 20 years. It's not that hard to remove especailly if you have a FEL to left the front tires.

Not bad to swap, just darn heavy to man handle in and out, even on concrete. A DOD is the best thing since sliced bread.

Just curious... do the anti-scalp wheels on these decks pivot 90ー to allow you to roll the deck sideways under the tractor? I've seen decks that have this feature, but don't know when it was implemented. The 60" MMM on my JD322 does not have this feature, and it is a fair amount of effort to man-handle the deck under or out from under the tractor... especially on the gravel floor of my barn. If I were 15 years older... I wouldn't want anything to do with that task.

Yes the wheels rotate 90 to remove. I do it on a blacktop driveway and with help and planning it is a chore . Mostly because of the weight. I use my FEL to raise the front up. The Mid PTO is hard to get to and mine is the old style you have to push it on while holding the collar back. The new one on my X748 locks back. It does a good job of cutting my 4 acre lawn.
