I am replacing hydraulic lines on my 70a bucket loader. From the top looking down at the lines on the loader (A,B,C,D) something I didn't notice before ... inside two of the line receivers (for lack of a better term ... where you screw the lines from the tractor to the loader) had small metal pieces inside with small holes in them. Do all the lines have these and I inadvertently dropped them when removing the lines? How are these metal pieces oriented? They have a smooth side and a side that has raised edges. If all the lines don't have them, what lines do (A, B, C, or D). Also ... one of my two pieces has a slightly larger hole than the other. Based on how these pieces look I'd guess that the flat side faces out and interfaces with the end of the line being attached. But I don't know if there were 4 (one for each line) and if not what one goes on what line! IMG_6228.jpgIMG_6229.jpg

Bummed I didn't pay more careful attention when disassembling this!!!

They are generally only on the lines that allow the loader to lower, so it does not fall fast. See part #11:

I just ran into the same problem wondering which way they go since 1 side is smooth. I figured out which 2 lines they came from just not sure if it matters which way they go back in.

I have same exact issue, I only noticed when one fell out, now trying to determine which/where?
I am also normally particular when dissembling, but this one got me.

Which lines do they go in?
Did you determine which side goes which way?
