7010 cab engine

In researching the 7010 cab I started checking specs against the 7520. Is this the same engine just a different hp rating? Maybe tweaked just a bit? Engine is same cubic inches and compression ratio. I gather they are both turbo. I'm almost ready to try to broker a deal the only thing holding me back is TYM is set to remove this tractor from it's lineup so I assume it will be gone from Mahindra's too. I wish I knew more about the engine and it's future. Is Mahindra set to release something new in the 70 - 80 hp cab tractor line since I assume they will no longer get the 700. In other words is there gonna be something better worth waiting for? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The engine in the 7010 is pretty much the same as the 7520. If TYM discontinues supplieing the tractor to Mahindra I am sure Mahindra/TYM will continue to supply service & parts for the tractor. I don't know what Mahindra's plans are, as far as a cab tractor is concerned, if the 7010 was discontinued.

Now I understand more about why Mahindra did not outsource the engine in this tractor like TYM and Montana. I geuss they feel pretty comfortable with the engine they have so why go pay for another one. I am curious though exactly what the difference is in the engines. Why the 72hp rating and not the 75hp rating? Perhaps so as not to offend the supplier that is putting a 72hp engine in theirs. Now I geuss I should be asking the 7520 owners how they like the engine in their tractors!

Should be pretty bullet proof. Lower the compression ratio from 19.4 to 18.4, ad a small turbo with limited boost and Voila! 12-15 HP over the 6000. I imagine that that difference is that the 7510's boost is a tad higher than the 72....BobG in VA
