As the title states.

The typical 7-way trailer end plugs I seem to have to replace every 2-3 years. The plastic usually cracks, around that tiny flat head screw that holds the end on. Then when trying to unplug, you are actually pulling the face of the connector out by the wires.

Dont like the design. Couldnt find any 7-way flats that had a metal housing.

Replacing a $10 connector isnt a huge ordeal. just a PITA when if there is something else better I could be using...

Perhaps order a one piece molded plug/cable?

Yes, like those. I looked and didnt see anything.

Not bad prices either. Thats what the local auto stores want for an all plastic job.

Anyone use them metal ones? Any good?

I've seen many of the Pollak plugs on RV's, but not used one.

Do you have an RV supply you can check instead of auto parts stores?

Not any around. I'll just order one most likely.

Just seeing whats out there and what others are using. I know alot of TBN members drag trailers around alot. And wondering if everyone just deals with the crap plastic plugs or if they have found better alternatives

I think I got my all metal plug from a Napa store. They didn't have any on display that I liked, so the guy checked and had some styles in back.
