Hey tire gurus,

My Kubota L3130 has 7.2-16 front tires.

I'm going to replace both front tires at the same time.

Will a 7-16 work without an issue when in 4WD?

The 7-16 is FAR less expensive than the 7.2-16. (Half the cost)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Louis

The page linked above wouldn't load for me.
If your tractor is 4wd replacing worn out front tires with new while leaving the half worn tires on the rear will
seriously effect the lead/lag of the tires.
I didn't dig to far but the Titan 7.2-16 tire has a diameter of 28.7", a static loaded radius of 13.34" and a rolling circumference of 86.6".
Were the Titan high traction 7-16 has a diameter of 29.75", static loaded radius of 13.83" and a rolling circumference of 89.33"
So the Titan number would increase the lead more with the 7-16 compared to the 7.2-16.
Which is going to increase the binding and tire wear even more.
Now if your existing setup is lagging quite a bit because of the dimension changes from wear either one would likely change it to a lead situation
how much would be too much is hard to say.

That looks right to me.

Simple diameter doesn't get you close enough for doing 4wd lead/lag calculations.
Instead of diameter, use rolling circumference - or preferably "loaded rolling circumference". If you can find that spec. from the manufacturer. If that spec. isn't handy, it is easy to measure and actually more accurate to do it yourself.

Just put a blob of paint on the tire, drive down the road in 2WD, and measure the distance between the paint marks. That distance between paint marks is exactly the definition of "loaded rolling circumference" for that tire. You can't get any more accurate than that.
