Lost all my hydraulic oil (about 6 gallons) about a week ago. Steering, 3PT, FEL etc kaput. Leak seems to be from the forward left side of the tractor, right in the area below the injector fuel pump. Plan on taking a hard look tomorrow but was wondering if anyone might give me a clue as to what happened. Does the Hydraulic resevoir run the length of the motor? Or has something REALLY BAD happened? Engine starts and runs with no apparent connection to the hydraulics problem. Thanks in advance for any input you folks can offer.

More than likely hyd pump is mounted on engine and developed a leak. I would recommend not to run engine until leak is repaired or hyd pump may be damaged from lack of oil.

thanks Tx. Haven't had a chance to look at it yet and now its snowing up here in NY. Have the manuals
for the 424 but they seem very sketchy on the hydraulic oil holding area's. Pump for hydraulics is mounted on the engine BUT on the right hand side of the motor.
