hello all after a little cleaning and searching I have found these ID #'s that I need demistifyied. any help would be much appreciated
unit # 2618B
model # LA315L
this is stamped in the horizontal flat just aft of the starter with no designator as to what it indicates # C2E18 the seemingly odd thing there is that the letter "C" is not from a dye but a series of 12 punch marks done by hand to form the letter, was that standard practice or maybe someone just did not have the correct dye that day??
serial # *B522810*
engine # 661658 2E14
rear axel # 2E11B
transmission # 2E05B
So any constructive input is greatly appreciated or experiences with this type engine/transmission / chassis common failures or stuff to look out for on this type unit or certainly any and all positive comments on strengths of this tractor type. There must be plenty of them around still doing chores even in the semi abused and previously neglected state that this on is in it has been mowing the heck out of some LARGE fields w/4' dog fennel growing as thick as it gets and doing a fine job of it
I still have that pesky fuel leak and I need an hour meter hooked up and I would like a tempeture guage
again thanks in advance and happy tractoring
