Thanks for the post, nothing like seeing something apart to give you an idea what to expect.

Did you have any precautionary / required parts to replace aside from the discs?

Well, I replaced the throw bearing, the pilot bearing, the main disc and the pressure plate assembly. The pressure plate assembly came with the inner disc already in it. All those parts were in the clutch kit that I bought. And also had the pressure plate resurfaced. TB

Were you able to get the parts locally?

I haven't had a chance to get to the dealership yet and I don't like making calls to have a list of parts costed out over the phone. I'm planning to visit them this coming weekend.

I bought mine on the internet. Dont recall from what company. If you do order on the net, try to determine how many springs are in the pressure plate. Try to make sure there are 12 springs in it. Some companys put less springs in there for some reason. Wasnt too pleased to see that the clutch I bougnt was made in India, but it seems to work ok. The original one was Spicer, made in USA. I saved the old one just in case. Heres a pic of the assembled old pressure plate, the drive disc, and the flywheel. TB

That flywheel pic is crappy, heres a better one, and also the backing plate that goes between the motor and bell housing. TB

Thanks again TB. I'm going to head to the dealership tomorrow to cost out / confirm the part number for mine, can't put it off too much longer.

Good to hear yours is working well, I saw you had chains around yours, how did you find the weight to manage after you split it?

The weight wasnt bad at all. Had the whole front apart/off anyway because I was rebuilding the motor. Had the tractor blocked up under the bell housing and once all the weight from the whole front was off, I used a boom arm on another tractor to pull the motor off. Yours though, will be left intact and just split at the bell housing, so you will have to block up both the front half and the rear half. One side will have to be able to be rolled so you can split the two. TB
