In the owner's manual, it says to use a John Deere oil for the gear box. My question is, since Johne Deere didn't put in there exactly what this oil is (generic), do you know what it is? Is it 80w90 gear oil like the Bush Hog finish mower we have uses in it's gear box? John Deere doesn't seem to like to list what the fluid is exactly. They like to simply give out their own brand name for the product.
