6500 4x4 steering seal

The seal below my steering wheel is apparently gone out. Driving down the road other day i look down and oil is everywhere coming out of steering shaft. Is this a pretty common deal or what? any help greatly appreciated.

Get the cowling opened up so you can see the top of hyd steering box. I had 1 tractor that leaked from the top of the steering box, and when I got it opened up I could see a allan head threaded plug in the top of the box that had loosened up and was leaking. I just tightened it back in and the leak was solved. I hope yours may be that easy, and good luck with it.

Just had a small antifreeze leak on my 6500 4WD with only 31 hrs. Turned out to be just a clamp that wasn't tightened down....
