$650 to flush and replace hydraulic fluid on New Holland 3930? Worth it?

I used one of those to fill my Branson. I calculated about 420 pumps to fill the 9.something gallon tank. The way the filler is laid out it's tough to get a decent size funnel to it and it has a 90 degree bend so I was concerned that it'd overflow.

Pumping the fluid in by hand wasn't too bad. It took about 20 minutes. I wouldn't use this if I had to service equipment often but I only have to change the fluid every few years.

For draining the hyd fluid on my Kioti I cut a plastic barrel , 10 inches from the bottom. Fits under, and holds it all plus some. lar

My tractors have the fill ports accessible with a funnel.

I take a 5 gallon pail of oil and punch an "air" hole of about ｽ" or so in diameter in the far side from the spiggot allowing air in allowing for a full, steady stream when pouring. Pick up the 5 gallon tub and pour away. If I need a stool to stand on to get high enough to be comfortable, I use a stool. If I spill a little in the process, I spill a little. Agree hand pumping for 10-15 gallons of fluid is not the way to go.

Thank you for your advice and recommendations. For this time, we opted for the dealer to do the hydraulic fluid change, because the tractor is already at the dealer for the other service that was done.

The dealer did say they were going to flush the hydraulics too, so that helps account for the high charges.

We are still trying to locate a manual, I saw some on ebay, but they seem to cover several Ford models in the same manual, I presume several tractors in a model line at pretty similar.

Is it possible that there is a more detailed stand alone manual for the New Holland 3930?

I can ask the dealer, but he is not that clued in on the tractor parts etc. and will surely charge a high markup on it.

Any leads for an ebay listing or an online vendor?

It's typical of most manufacturers to include several models in one manual. If I recall my Kubota manual covers M6040, M7040, &M8540. All are pretty similar. Any differences are specified in the manual. Usually an owner/operators manual will cover oil changes. Shop manuals usually cover detailed repairs. Both are good to have.
